ELINA ZHANG (Fall 2022 – current) is a writer-organizer with a Creative Nonfiction MFA from the University of Pittsburgh. Her writing about gendered violence & unruly desires can be found in LitHub, PublicSource & more. She is a 2022 Periplus Fellow & 2023 RWW Fellow.

LENA CHEN

LENA CHEN (2021 – current) is an artist creating socially engaged work that explores gender, labor, race, and sexuality. A recipient of Mozilla Foundation’s 2022 Creative Media Award and B3 Biennial of the Moving Image’s 2019 “Best Emerging Talent”, she has exhibited, performed internationally, and has been awarded grants at Kelly Strayhorn Theater, Sundance Institute, UC Berkeley’s Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, & Burning Man Global Arts Fund. She earned a B.A. in sociology from Harvard University, and a MFA at Carnegie Mellon University.

ANNY CHEN

Anny Chen (2021-Fall 2022) is a teaching artist interested in decolonizing craft and demystifying making. Curious about the diasporic migration of artifacts, her creations knock-off the objects of her Chinese-American upbringing. She has deep roots in Pittsburgh’s educational community having worked with Tech Shop, Prototype, Assemble, Braddock Library, CCAC, and CMU’s School of Architecture.

C.Ryu (2021 – 2024) formally known as Caroline Yoo is an artist using translation as a tool to map forgotten histories and performs contemporary translations of rituals for the living. Ryu is also the co-founder of Hwa Records – a group focusing on relieving the perpetual fire and flower cultural illnesses that bloom in the Korean-American diaspora – and has performed, exhibited and culturally produced at the Institute of Contemporary Art, San Francisco; University of Southern California; LA Art Show and more.
